County-wide Burn Ban has Expired

The Wayne County Commissioners have allowed the county-wide burn ban to expire.  Although the recent rains have helped, we still encourage everyone to exercise caution if you choose to have an open burn.

Centerville Fire/Rescue Cadets Selling Reflective Address Signs

CF/R Cadets are selling Green Reflective Address Signs.  These signs enable Firefighters, Police, EMS, and other emergency services to locate your home more easily in case of an emergency.

These signs are available for purchase year-round.  They are available for $15.00 each and will have your house number placed on both sides of the sign.  They are also pre-drilled for you to bolt onto your mailbox post.

Centerville Fire/Rescue had a busy 2019!

Centerville Fire/Rescue responded to a total of 515 calls for service for fiscal year 2019.  November was our busiest month with 48 calls, with May and August tied with 46, and April, September and October tied with 45 calls.  This makes for an average of 42.91 calls per month, or 1.41 calls per day!  For 2018, we made a total of 520 calls for service.  

We also have grown during fiscal year 2019!  We recruited 3 new members to our department who have all passed their Mandatory Firefighter certification.  We are currently putting on another Mandatory Firefighter class in which 3 more candidates are a part of!

We look forward to serving our great community in 2020!
