The morning of Saturday, July 29th, Red Line EMS hosted a Mass Casualty Incident training at the Welcome Center/Rest Area located at the 144 Westbound Interstate 70 Highway. The scenario involved 2 school buses and multiple passenger vehicles. There were approximately 40+ patients involved from walking wounded, to ambulance transport, 3 that were flown via helicopter, and several DOA patients. Multiple agencies participated, including: Centerville Fire/Rescue; Red Line EMS; Richmond Fire Department & EMS; Hagerstown Fire Department; Williamsburg Fire Department; Dublin Fire/EMS; Boston Fire Department; IU Health Lifeline; St. Vincent StatFlight; Wayne County Emergency Management Agency; Wayne County Emergency Communications; Red Cross.
